Workplace Environment Protection
Here is the the policy and the procedure for dealing with ANY situation that makes you feel you are being intimidated into doing things you were not aware you should be doing, or in ways not consistent with your understanding of your job. If you feel in any way threatened by other faculty, are being bullied in any manner, or treated in any way not respectful of your position as a faculty member, this is the document used as a platform on which to build your defense.
You have the right to speak freely to the person involved directly, you have the option to have a union representative with you, your situation will be investigated vigorously by both HR and Security, and in accelerated cases, you have the right to file a grievance.
The fear of retaliation is the worst, because you feel to be in a corner. Be asured: If you speak with one of us first, let us know who is involved, and then approach the issue appropriately, retaliation will not be happening!!! We are 100% with you, and will help you all the way to eradicate this behavior from this institution!
